DAY 1 - Meet Polly Rihm. Amazing human and owner of Townshend’s Teahouse in NewPark Town Center.

If you aren’t familiar with NewPark, it’s a little locals haven off the main drag. A place for us to gather with other locals when Park City is overrun with tourist and a place we adore when it’s quiet, but not this quiet. We really miss being able to hangout, visit and especially give hugs to our neighbors. As we drift past one another in the sea of uncertainty we hope you’re hanging in there. We’ve also been curious how people are handling the crisis and we thought you might be too. So, we asked some of our Park City friends to share some insight with us that might help not feel so alone. This is such new territory and the best way to get through is together! We will be featuring other business owners who have been gracious enough to share how they are coping during COVID19. Sending you all socially distant hugs and look forward to seeing you on the other side of this.

If you’re lucky enough to know Polly, you know she shares a unique sense of joyful chill and great drinks to the neighborhood. There’s always a waterbowl outside for furry friends. Polly recently began offering coffee, which is delightful for those of us who need some serious caffeine every now and then. We all go to Polly for our lattes, kombucha refills, muffins, fresh banana bread, iced tea and even readings and amazing local art. Polly has been a great source of cheer during this time serving up tea curbside and so we were curious how she is coping. Here’s what she had to say.

Q. What currently gives you the most joy?

A. Animals and being outside. Animals make me happy, but being outside is amazing because it feels normal, gets me away from reality and the craziness that is happening.

Q. What is your COPING with COVID COCKTAIL?

A. I’ve really been on the homemade margarita train, but also enjoying a Uinta Baba…not necessarily at the same time…but somedays. : )

Q. What has been your greatest challenge during this time?

A. Trying to keep a business afloat.

Q. What are you looking forward to most, when this is all over?

A. A Vacation and some normalcy.

We’re with you Polly!

We are grateful to have Polly and Townshend’s as a neighbor and look forward to when we can all hang out together in the cozy chairs by the window. In the meantime, call, email or DM your orders on instagram and pick them up outside with contactless pick up. She is also doing delivery.

Stay tuned…
